TJ as Buble

Wohoo! Go TJ! You are awesome!!!

Cat & Dolphins Play Together

This video is priceless. It is beautiful to see two of our Heavenly Father’s creations (even though they are so totally different) find joy and friendship in their differences.
Confession: It almost made me cry. =)

Here’s another Murray Hallam video

This is another video featuring Murray Hallam, he talks about some more imortant elements of Aquaponic gardening. Josh and I are starting a small aquaponics system in our kitchen (no edible fish with ours, we obviously don’t have enough room, we are using goldfish).

An Aquaponics system is really perfect for Desert gardening (Austrailia has pretty much led the way in this) because it uses about 10% of the water used in traditional soil gardening.

Murray Hallams Practical Aquaponics

I love this video, I think it is the best at explaining the basics of aquaponics. And Mr. Hallams is really enthusiastic… lol, he is also good at explaining. This makes it a lot easier to watch, learn, and understand.

Zorro saves the day again

Wow, I wish they did that at EAC! It’s a great way to advertize productions and the theatre program. I absolutly love the mariachi band and don’t think it would have been the same without it… but I think the prize for my my favorite part goes to Zorro “slashing” his trademark on the chalkboard. lololol

BYU Easter Prank

Ok, I absolutly HAD to post this. It is seriously one of the best pranks I have ever seen! … hmmm maybe Josh and I can do it to our kids someday!!! That would be totally awesome!! =)

In theatres December 14, 2012 – Les Misérables (The Musical)

So I found out last week that they are making a film version of the musical ‘Les Misérables’! I am so extremely excited about this! The cast is killer and I have no doubt that it will be phenomenal!

Amanda Seyfried (Mama Mia) as Cosette

Russell Crowe (ooooh! I just got chills! He is perfect!) as Inspector Javert

 Anne Hathaway as Fantine

Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean (Holy Cow!!! AMAZING!!!)

Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thénardier (no introduction needed…!)

Sacha Baron Cohen as Monsieur Thénardier

 Eddie Redmayne as Marius Pontmercy

 Samantha Barks as Éponine

 Aaron Tveit as Enjolras

Colm Wilkinson as Bishop of Digne (He played Jean Valjean on Broadway)

 Bertie Carvel as Bamatabois

 Daniel Huttlestone as Gavroche

 George Blagden as Grantaire

 Isabelle Allen as Young Cosette

Enough said. I have no doubt, with the caliber of these serious actors, that this film will do justice to Victor Hugo’s novel (which is one of the greatest novels of the 19th century) of “the wretched poor”.

Google Eye Glasses

Holy Cow, this is totally interesting! Kind of weird, especially seeing something like this so soon in my life time (It looks like something from Back to the Future). In some ways I am kind of worried, because people are already glued to their iPhones, etc… won’t this cause people to be distracted ALL THE TIME?? and wouldn’t someone wearing these while, say… walking or driving, possibly get hit by a car or run into something/someone because they were watching what is in front of their face on the screen rather than in real life?

Yes it is cool, but it’s still weirding me out and also worrisome…

The Love Letter

The Love Letter

This is about an old love letter found underneath some linoleum in an old house. A marriage proposal.

Lightning!!!

So, last night Josh and I had a very restless sleep, and now I think I know why…

They say lighting doesn’t strike the same place twice, but these bolts have bombarded the same area over eleven hair-raising minutes.

Each individual lightning bolt pounds the ground with an average power of one billion volts, so the force of dozens of bolts a second over more than ten minutes can barely be imaged.

Tour guide, Roch Hart, 52, took these incredible shots from his roof in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, just two miles away from the lightning strikes.

“After a day of tours I noticed this storm develop,” said Roch.

“Realizing the potential I ran to the roof, stationed the camera on my tripod and began taking photos. The storm was unleashing all its power only in one area.

“Due to Albuquerque’s high altitude of over 5,200 feet, plus the very dry atmosphere and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, the conditions were right for multiple lightning strikes in a short time.”

Over 200 people a year are killed in the US by lightning strikes, and New Mexico is often the state with the most deaths.

Roch explained why be had to be careful when taking these awesome pictures.

“You take every precaution to not be that highest object, yet it is possible to still be hit,” he said.

“The scariest moments are at night when you can’t see the storm developing over your head.

“All of a sudden a very bright light with amazing power conveyed by the clap of thunder makes you dive to the ground, then gather up your stuff and head for cover.

“The power and sound is very exhilarating and with each strike you capture you want more.

“Photographing lightning has become a passion. Someday I would hope to travel the world in capturing lightning.”

No wonder we had such a “hair-raising” night.
